First picture: Our Tabacundo and La Esperanza groups hanging out at one of many long parades for the Festival of San Padre/Inti Raymi, along with a few members of our families.
Second picture: The volcano Cayambe in the distance...one of the highest in Ecuador at over 5000m. We're walking because there was a strike, and thus many large, burning road blocks that we could climb over, but didn't allow the passage of vehicles. Craziness!

This Saturday we leave for the coast, which should be great fun! It will at least be warm, and I'm pretty sure we'll be hiking through some slush. We have a 10 hour drive each way, but the people in my group are fun, so it won't be a problem.
